Holiday Ink Sales

While most shoppers are probably thinking about saving on Christmas Shopping during this time, it is also a good time to save on other shopping.

For example, many stores are having huge Holiday Sales that apply to all items, not just the hot Christmas presents and in-demand toys.

While places like Wal-Mart, Target, and online merchants like Amazon are running big sales, it might be a good time to look for cheap printer ink.

Keep an eye out on all the Christmas sales and you will find some good deals, either online or off-line.

Low Printer Ink Level Rip-offs

I came across a PC World article ( via CNET) that explores whether printer manufacturers rip you off by getting you to change your ink way too early.

Some of the findings included:

Printers often tell you to change the ink when you can have as much as 40% of your ink left in the cartridge.

The cost of ink? $4,371 a gallon!

Some printers will shutdown and force you to change the printer ink. Of multifunction printers tested, only the HP Phtosmart C5280 did not shut down. ( My personal printer is the C4280. I wonder if the same thing applies).

You can find discount printer ink cartridges for your inkjet printer online, and they usually cost less than your local office supply store or delivery service. Take advantage of low costs and shipping discounts. Other options are refill kits or remanufactured generic inks.
